Quickie

Blogging here quickly at my day job. Looking forward to working more toward my goals with my portfolio. I'm finally starting to notice that with perspective I'm picking up tricks if the trade more. Perspective was and still is my hardest thing to work at. But as they say practice, practice, practice. Last time I was in front of editors I was told to work on backgrounds and anatomy so that is what I've been doing non stop!! October ho!!

Art

Blogging here from Destiny USA in Syracuse, NY. Thinking of art, my art specifically. I just got new business cards recently but finding who to give them to is tough. I did get some new comics though from Play the Game Read the Story or vice versa.

I've come to realize through talks with past teachers and the famous Rich Talarico, and Tony Daniel that I need to just work on stuff and create a body of work! So that u actually have work to show interested and important parties. Instead of my usual mindframe of get noticed first do work later. That's an important realization I've made. It's impacting my thought process and the way I find work.

I'm going to ne illustrating for my first paid gig for a children's book. I'm selling two logos to a production company. I've sold three tattoo designs and my wife and I will be having an art show soon.

Blogging like a fiend

My apologies if the blogs I'm going to be blogging today seem more like posts. I plan on blogging up a storm today. Some of it might be ranting, tangents, nonsense and plain old good fun. Hope all enjoy. Thank you for stopping in.

Decision Points

So I've decided while I've got some time to do so, to get more sample scripts done. I'm writing just one shots basically just one first issue because o read recently its better to write your own stuff for companies to see rather than with their characters purely from a legal point. Which this is where having a pencil portfolio differs, the one being the opposite. So that's where I'm at now, just plugging away. Samples to be posted soon!

2012 Revivement of Positivity

Just got Blogger mobile app and love it! I am pumped once again and convinced this is my year to break in!! I'm going to get it all together and do whatever it takes to bust in!!! I'm pumped, motivated and ready and focused!!
