I know. I'll be posting things soon. In the middle of moving again, back to my hometown ironically. More news and stuff to come. Soon, okay so stop pestering me for stuff (I'm kidding, please pester me!!) sheesh you monkeys!

Awesomeness Rising

So the other day I started drawing again, I'm doing a small comic (like four pages) for my portfolio, its basically a crossover between my favorite anime's (DBZ, YuYu Hakusho, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo etc.) and DC Comics characters, set in their universe. Doing up the first page now and it's a blast. Since not really drawing for a long while I'm actually a lot more patient I'm finding and more in tune with what really works on the page. Also my shading and cross hatching and what not has improved, my characters are looking movre alive and better looking. I've improved a bit as an artist as far as I can tell. I'm going to keep plugging away and hopefully have it done by time Philly Comic Con comes up. Wish me luck! As for my acting and what not I will start filming, "Half Dead" with Mad Angel Films this May as well as a film where I will play a mercenary. And I believe another film entitled, "Anti-Heroes" with WendellVision Filmworks this May as well. Also at some point I'm do to be in a short film entitled, "Flashback" through WendellVision Filmworks I believe as well. The commercials I was in with Working Pictures should be premiering on network telly this month as well so stay tuned. Stuff GOing down!!

Things are picking up once again for me folks! I'm getting back into the swing of things! I'm doing some concept arts for a local film here and also some for a web series a buddy and me are doing! I shall post all accordingly. Also I am getting really back into illustrating comics and everything again, I really, really desperately miss it especially seeing all the great art on here everyday! I have to get back into it I mean, its what I love. I'm alwasy struggling with the fact that I have so many different talents and sometimes it's not easy to mesh them. I know, right, boo-fricken-hoo you're mult-talented...I'm not looking for sympothy at all, in fact if you ever see me you have permission to say Hi (because it's polite) and then to slap me (because I deserve it). But yeah, I struggle because like I'm an Actor, a Writer, an Illustrator and I'm dabbling in Stand Up (which is by far the hardest right now for me...I get some laughs, but I crave more!). Plus lately this year a lot of acting work has opened up for me and some directing stuff as well, but I gotta keep focused! I still really want to become a comic book artist and writer as well!! It's such damn hard work but damn it it'll be worth it, I just know it! I have to step up my game! Well until next time....More to come. Mike D. Burke Actor/Writer/Illustrator
