I Seek to Revolutionize

Let me make one thing clear about my fore into comics, film, internet and writing. I seek to revolutionize. Like those heroes before me, Bryan Lee O'Malley; Gerard Way, Brian K. Vaughn, Scott Snyder, Steve Niles and many others I want to change things. Like Christian Bale; Marlon Brando, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera and Clark Duke, Dave Chapelle. So many others and honestly to many for me to remember at this time, I want to move things to a new style a new feel a-a-a-new something!

Not that things are bad as they are you know? We've got great things going, DC's The New 52; Marvel's approach to bringing back old storylines/characters, Image's revolutionary creator owned series, Steve Niles push for as many indie projects as he can possibly handle. Actors like Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffallo and again Will Ferrell stepping out of their comfort zones to give us amazing character realizations on the big screen. Heck you know what, obviously Christian Bale was one of the best 'Batman' realizations of the last two centuries but maybe even Ben Afleck can give us some greatness to latch onto in his interpretation. Henry Cavil (a British native) after all gave us one of the best 'Superman'/'Clark Kent' interpretations I've ever seen (in my opinion) seriously. Yes George Reeves was good and Christopher Reeves was good (for a while) but now these types of transmedia stories and characters are being taken seriously enough for them to be brought to full realization in today's world!

I want to be a part of this so bad! I'm just one indie creator/actor from a small town in central, central New York after all! Like think of a small pebble in a rock quarry and that's pretty much central New York. You know though half of the heroes we all look up to have come form small unknown places for years and look at them! I have a belief in myself and I have those who support me (my great wife; parents and close friends) but its hard to actually get a feel that my general community and family and so called "friends" support me as well. And I'm not saying that because they didn't purchase my latest indie creation, a sort of sequel to my first book: Short Stories of a Man Named Frankie Dingle: Adventures of Absurdity (shameless plug in/link): http://www.amazon.com/Short-Stories-Frankie-Dingle-ebook/dp/B00EP406Q0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377991263&sr=8-1&keywords=short+stories+of+a+man+named+frankie+dingle%3A+adventures+of+absurdity.

I'm saying that because I sent personal email/FaceBook messages to them and I have to tell you that only 1 out of so many actually responded. I was shocked and a little hurt. I started letting the dark thoughts slip in more and more and I realize this sounds a little bit like the ranting of a 'torchered soul of an artist' sensitive crap. But you know what, I am that sensitive to be honest, despite how I may seem. Again though this is just a tangent I'm going on and I am a bit inebriated at the time of writing this so ignore the silly banter that you can.

All I'm saying is that everyone needs to jump aboard the revolution! Change the media (news, tv, comics, books, internet), the way you think, the way you believe, the way you show love and support! Show the world something, make a fricken mark on this ginormous spectrum we have before us! Don't just let the world forget about you! You have something to say, I guarantee it!
